Early And Personal Life

Born on the 1st of June 1996 in South Carolina, Chase Chrisley is the first son of Todd and Julie Chrisley.

His father, Todd, is a self-made business tycoon, while his mother, Julie, is a former beauty queen. The couple met in the early to mid-1990s after Todd’s first marriage ended and tied the knot in 1996.

Chase Chrisley grew up with his two full biological siblings, Savannah and Grayson, and half-siblings, Lindsie and Kyle Chrisley.

However, the relationship between the kids from Todd Chrisley’s first marriage and those from his second hasn’t been exactly ‘chummy.’

Lindsie had a fallout with her father, Todd, and half-siblings, Chase and Savannah, in 2017. This led to her leaving their family reality show, “Chrisley knows best,” and she has ever since distanced herself from the family.

1. Education

Chase Chrisley attended a private Christian school in America. He was reportedly athletic and desired to be a professional baseball player. However, the tides changed when his attention diverted to the entertainment industry.

For college, it’s unclear which school Chrisley attended, with many speculating that he didn’t, in fact, attend college. However, his college experience was documented on the show Growing Up Chrisley, although he never explicitly said where he went.

His father, Todd Chrisley, did, however, say on his podcast that he visits his son in Athens. The city is home to the University of Georgia, amongst others.

2. Hobbies

Chase Chrisley enjoys traveling and listening to music. He shares his traveling chronicles with his many followers on his Instagram account and keeps them updated.

Fun fact: Chase is an animal lover. He has a pet dog named Lilo and has an entire Instagram page dedicated to her.

3. Love Life

Chrisley is engaged to longtime girlfriend, Emmy Medders.

The duo became official on Instagram in July 2020 and has been serving couple goals ever since.

“We started talking right before COVID hit,” Medders told People. “It was on and off, and then we were doing really well, and then we did have one like major breakup where we didn’t talk for like — I want to say it was two months, but it was probably more like two weeks.”

Apparently, the beau and his damsel had a rough patch, leading to their break-up in 2021. But they sorted out their issues and got back together soon enough.

On the 5th of October 2022, Chrisley popped the question to Medders, and the love birds are set to tie the knot very soon.

4. Family Scandal

The Chrisley family has had their own share of scandals.

In 2019, Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were indicted on multiple counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy. However, the patriarch and matriarch of the Chrisley clan denied all allegations.

According to them, a former employee was trying to set them up, and they were innocent of the claims against them.

Two years down the line, a court trial was enacted, and both parties were found guilty. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while his wife, Julie, was sentenced to 7 years.

This, like any family scandal, took a toll on the family members. And they are still trying to work through the situation.

Savannah, Chase’s younger sister, admitted to struggling and how challenging it has been to move on without feeling guilty.

On her podcast, Unlocked Podcast with Savannah Chrisley, she says to Chase, “I think part of the rift you and I have is there’s just an unspoken tension there, and I think from me, it comes from seeing you move on with your life because Mom and Dad have both said, ‘I don’t want you to stop living your life,’ like, ‘I want you to continue to progress and do the things that you want to do and grow and all those things.”

She added, “And you’re doing that when it comes to you and Emmy, and for me, I think because I don’t have that, and there’s part of me that feels guilt for moving on in any way, shape, or form.”

Chase, on this podcast, comforts his sister and lets her know she isn’t alone.

The Chrisley Knows Best star has decided to let go of the negative emotions and focus on the future. He plans to take up his role as the eldest child and ensure all his family members have the support they need.

5. Controversy

Chase Chrisley has also had his fair share of federal drama.

In 2019, he was accused of owing more than $16,000 in back taxes and was hit with a federal tax lien by the Internal Revenue Service, IRS.

According to the documents, Chase hadn’t paid his taxes in 2014 and faced the possibility of losing his possessions.

The lien warned that his properties and assets would be seized if payment was not made.

6. Religion

Chrisley is a Christian and is pretty vocal about it. The reality show star believes in God and goes to great lengths to show it.

In 2016, he got a tattoo of the famous Bible verse, John 3:16, on his ribcage. The action was, however, met with disapproval from his father, Todd.

In response, Todd offered Chrisley a Range Rover on the condition that he would remove the tattoo. Interestingly, it worked because Chrisley did as instructed.

Career and Net Worth

It’s no secret that Chrisley was born with a silver spoon. That’s probably where a chunk of his wealth stems from.

He’s also amassed a fortune being on the reality shows Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley.

Still, the reality star is no slacker.

Chrisley has shown that he inherited his father’s business acumen. The 26-year-old started a candle collection and named it the Chase Chrisley Collection.

This idea stemmed from his love of scented candles.

“Candles have always been a passion of mine since I was a little kid,” He told US Weekly. “When I was growing up, my mom always had amazing candles lit and really did control the mood of the room.”

The business kicked off on November 2020 and continues to boom.

Similarly, a few months ago, Chase announced his latest business collaboration with his sister, Savannah. They launched their real estate business called Chrisley and Co Realty.

Besides reality TV and business, Chrisley also decided to take a shot at acting. His pursuit of an acting career was the central storyline for the first season of the spin-off series, ‘Growing up Chrisley.’

It wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be, though.

In an interview with US Weekly, he revealed, “I was focusing on acting and trying to kind of get my foot in the door with that. I loved it, but it was way more work than I thought it was going to be.”

Chase has also been featured in many shows. They include WWE Raw, Steve Harvey, Wendy Williams, The View, Today, The Real, and E! News Daily Pop.

Being on a Reality Show

In 2014, when Chase Chrisley was 18 years old, the Chrisley clan began their reality tv series, Chrisley Knows Best.

It all started when a family friend, who was also a producer, reached out to the Chrisleys to shoot a pilot. They obliged and tried their luck at reality TV.

Amazingly, it was pitched to 11 networks, and they got 10 offers. The rest, they say, is history.

The Chrisleys’ lives have never remained the same since then. They have gained popularity and continue to be in the spotlight.

In an interview with US Weekly, Chrisley says he wasn’t aware of his family’s fame at first. He, however, realized soon enough.

YouTube video

“It was probably like second or third season and when we started having like to deal with paparazzi,” he told US Weekly.

The 26-year-old admitted to liking the perks that came with fame, including the privilege he enjoys at restaurants.

There are downsides, however. According to Chrisley, your privacy is lost, and in his words, “everyone in the world thinks they know you. Meanwhile, they know the show.”

Chrisley Knows Best played and continues to play a major role in the life of the star, Chase Chrisley.

Spin-off Series

Chrisley teamed up with his sister, Savannah, to start a spin-off series, Growing Up Chrisley. The duo is super close, and it was no surprise that they worked well together.

They started the show to show their father that they could survive alone. However, like Chrisley Knows Best, the show was canceled in 2023 due to the family’s (Todd and Julie’s) bank fraud and tax evasion scandal.

Conclusion

Chrisley was born into a privileged home. Notwithstanding, he has proved that he has what it takes to achieve success outside his family’s influence.

Through hard work, he’s slowly carving a name for himself.

And while he’s had to deal with family drama, the Chrisley’s golden boy has stepped up to the responsibility. And we love to see it.
