Growing up, life was hard for Chico and his mother. But even at that, he was a huge fan of humor. After graduating from a local high school, he continued his education at North Carolina University.
He began his performing career in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 2007. Surprisingly, Darren Band and B-Daht, two of his pals, were stand-up comedians. The trio became a group and was joined by DeMar Rankin Sr.
Chris Wiles directed his debut performance. Chico kept working on his talent and was allowed to join the cast of the television program “Wild ‘n Out.” First, Chico’s decision to launch the “Freestyle Funny Comedy Show” allowed him to traverse the nation while holding various movie theater crowds, colleges, comedy clubs, and universities hostage.
He gained greater confidence in his comic abilities later on when he participated in the audition for Nick Cannon’s “Fresh Faces of Comedy Stand-Up Show.” Things weren’t going well for a variety of reasons but he didn’t give up. He was inspired to go on the “Wild ‘n Out” show by Nick Cannon.
