I was kind of put into it by my dad, but, you know, good. I really love it, and I still do it.”
His first appearance on TV was on a Whirphool commercial. He recalls feeling at home on the commercial.

Controversies
Child endangerment and dissemination of harmful matter to juveniles
On the 4th of June 2021, Drake Bell was arrested and charged with attempted child endangerment and dissemination of harmful matter to juveniles.
The then 15-year-old attended Drake’s concert in 2021. And during her stay, he allegedly violated his duty of care, creating a risk of harm to the victim.
When probed further, the Cleveland police discovered that the two had established contact years prior to the concert day. They also found inappropriate messages sent from Bell to the minor on social media.
Bell pleaded not guilty and was freed on a $2,500 personal bond. However, on the 23rd of June, he pleaded guilty to both charges in exchange for a plea deal.
He was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service. In addition, he was prohibited from having physical contact with his victim in the future.
Months later, Bell claimed he had no idea of the girl’s real age and cut off contact when he learned the truth. He said that the girl stalked him afterward till his arrest.
Driving under the influence
Bell was also arrested in December 2021 for driving under the influence. This happened at 2:45 am after the police officers on duty witnessed him swerving and driving over the speed limit.
He pleaded not guilty. However, in September 2016, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four days in jail and four years probation.
