Leah Christine Pruett, formerly Leah Pritchett and popularly known as Leah Pruett, was born on May 26, 1988, in Redlands, California, to Ron and Linda Pruett. The 35year old drag racer is from the Caucasian ethnic group and grew up with her sister, Lindsey Pruett.

Leah Pruett graduated from a local high school, where she raced in the junior leagues of drag racing. After high school, she enrolled in California State University on an athletic scholarship.
